We are seeking a social media Communications Coordinator who is passionate about online PR and building Talentcall brand community. As a member of the communications team, you will help build and monitor our online reputation within the visual and performing art communities. We are talking a grass root movement that aims to support and reshape the way talent is approached. You will execute, monitor, and report the day-to-day operations of our social media outlets. We’re looking for someone with contagious communication skills, someone who will thrive in a flexible and fast-paced startup environment. Successful candidates will have the ability to lead, direct, and influence our online followers.

Responsibilities

• Execute media / communications plans
• Report social media progress
• Write and edit press announcements and any other PR materials
• Media outreach for PR initiatives

Qualifications

Successful candidates will become a member of an international team located in California, Toronto, Dubai, Beirut, and India.   You will report to the Director of Innovation in Toronto. The job is part time with the possibility to become a full time on-line.  Basically, the job offers the flexibility of working on your own time, but with the supervision and support of an online-based team.

Audience

Our target audience are creative- highly visual-people whom we feel respond to clean, modern and easy-on-the-eye designs rather than heavily visual designs. They are art-savvy and they take pride in their art.

Responsibilities:

• Execute concept planned by the company’s director of innovation
• Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art copy, content, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials as and when requested.
• Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and 
  website design requirements and guidelines.
• Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy.
• Completes projects by coordinating with internal team and, art services, printers, etc.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Content writer/ editor

An experienced content writer and editor for the company’s web properties and newsletter is required on a freelancing/ part time basis. The content writer will also edit and revise existing content.

Talentcall is a user-driven website, there is not much content to be written, but there is a growing need to create a theme and a unified conversation throughout the website. Our static pages are already written but are in need of revision. The candidate will also perform related duties incidental to the work described herein, e.g., email marketing content, pitching emails, newsletters, and advertising copy.

This is an exciting position that will allow you to expand your knowledge in the areas of Internet marketing and search engine optimization with the opportunity to become a full-time employee. We are looking for a creative writer who can multitask and perform projects under deadlines. You need to be able to work under little supervision but be an active member of an online team.

Responsibilities

• Copy-editing and proof reading articles and other web content.
• Finding and developing new ideas for web content.
• Assuring web content is user-friendly and key-worded for SEO benefit.
• Moderating user-generated content such as message Facebook pages/posts/twitter replies.

Qualification

• A degree in journalism, English and other mass communication disciplines can fulfill the educational requirements for Web content writers.
• Knowledge-or the ability to- fetch art, design, creative news or maybe an interest in the art field is a big plus.
• Some experience creating or sourcing content for websites/magazines/blogs (any URLs provided will be beneficial)
• Familiarity with Internet marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or web development is a plus.
• Ability to write engaging online content.
• Confident communication skills and excellent English, especially written.
